Introducing Caroline
I’m Caroline. I’m an Executive Coach and Mentor, and I work exclusively with senior leaders in commercial businesses.
I spent 20 years at Aldi, including as a Managing Director in Australia where I led a $450m business. I know what it feels like to carry a big role, navigate a complex organisation, and lead under real pressure – because I’ve done it. I also know what it’s like to reach a point where the way you’re leading no longer feels sustainable, and to have nobody at work you can say that to.
I left corporate life deliberately – to build a life and a business on my own terms. I now coach and mentor senior commercial leaders who are ready to lead the same way. Not by default. By design.
The research behind this quiz
An analysis by the Korn Ferry Institute of nearly 7,000 self-assessments across 486 publicly traded companies found that professionals at financially underperforming companies were 79% more likely to have low self-awareness than those at companies with strong stock returns. Separately, organisational psychologist Dr Tasha Eurich's research, published in Harvard Business Review, found that while 95% of people believe they're self-aware, only 10–15% actually are — and the gap tends to widen the more senior someone becomes, because success makes honest feedback harder to come by.
